How is that panning out in Lutheran circles? How do you think about that in terms of your own seminary educational system?

Well, having taught homiletics, I'd agree with you 100%.

I mean, the reality is the Word of God creates a reality that it describes.

It's an efficacious Word.

It never is just raw data.

So we're not like simply an information dump from the pulpit, but we have the living Word of God, which is inspired by the Holy Spirit.

It's a tool and instrument to the Spirit, the sword of the Spirit, to create and sustain faith, to bring people from spiritual death to life.

Would you have sort of advice for a pastor like that as to how to gently move his church and his congregation in the right direction on this? I think it would be wrong-headed
