I'm sure you know Harold Ford Jr., the supposed mode- moderate Democrat-

... was being interviewed by somebody, and you could see plainly on his mantel was a huge portrait of Mao Zedong.

I saw it on the big board here, and I said to Piercey, I said, uh, "See Steve on the board?" I said, "You remember this?" And Piercey said, "Yeah.

Yeah, I remember." And it's true.

And Harold Ford Jr. is not a political nut.

He's, uh, he is, like, one of the most sane Democrats you're going to find.

On this date, September 9th of 1976, Chairman Mao died.

And we were just talking about it, and it was y- you remember Harold Ford Jr., who in the pantheon of Democrats is, doesn't even rank as annoying among, uh, the Democrats overwhelmingly, but former member of the House of Representatives, had a, had a seat in the House for 10 years, the same seat that his father had for more than 20 years.

Uh, but he was doing an interview on Fox News with Bret Baier, and behind him on the wall there was a, uh, larger than life portrait of Chairman Mao, Mao Zedong, on the wall over the fireplace in the multimillion-dollar house in Washington, D.C. And it was noticed.

I remember, uh, I remember seeing it myself on television.

I commented on it at the time.

And, uh, and he was challenged, "Hey, um, uh, what are you doing there? You got Chairman Mao on your wall over the fireplace.

What is up with that? You a communist or something?" And, um, Harold Ford Jr., who honestly, if, uh, I think if you were sitting down having a beer, you probably wouldn't even argue with him, uh, because he's not a nut like, uh, so many of them.

But he said, "Hey, hey, d- don't, don't look at me.

And the Democrats' big tent is starting to look more like a circus tent.

Yeah.

And like Harold Ford, he's the token liberal on there.

I love Harold Ford.

I'm sort of like, oh my gosh, you know, if that was the liberal that was present, wouldn't I be really happy? You know what I mean? Like he's from a different time.

Yeah.

So, yeah.

Jesse Waters on the five, he kind of went back and forth with this guy, Harold Ford Jr. last week.

And that by itself is enough to just kind of, well, demonstrate why they're having this big fight.

You think they got they have an establishment issue to this where the establishment Republicans have just we've just kicked them in the nuts all day long and they deserve it.

Would you say that it's true that the establishment Democrats are the ones that you and I might find a little more Hillary Clinton, Harold Ford Jr.? These are the ones that we find, John Fetterman, that we find a little more reasonable than the DSA squad style.

So if indeed it's true that the Republican establishment is a problem and the Democrat establishment may be their saving grace, here's why.
