The contrast between that quiet scene at the altar and what happens later at Hardhome.

is the perfect encapsulation of why he is such a terrifying adversary.

But when we get to Hardhome, it is the exact opposite.

Hardhome is the moment the fairy tale violently crashes back into reality.

Do we go to freaking Dorne? Do we go to...

Do we get Daenerys on a dragon to Hardhome? Yeah.

You were so convinced of that.
