Happy Valley

We had Drew Aller back, but Last week, Penn State couldn't get out of its own way and kind of handed a win to Michigan.

What's the reaction right now in Happy Valley or the unhappy Valley?

Yeah, well, thanks for having me, Jack.

Great to be talking college football here midseason.

He just didn't know it.

Uh, 31-23 out of Happy Valley, State College, USC silences Beaver Stadium in a amazing road win, a complete game performance on the road.

We're gonna talk about it and some other stuff.

This is a bye week, but not a bye week for us because we still have work to do.

That is, that is a team, that's the pretty damn good football team Lincoln Riley's been talking about for the last couple weeks, and it started in that road performance against Penn State.

So it look, it looks bigger and better if they were able to turn the momentum into some other wins moving forward.

Scott, obviously you and I were in- Happy Valley this weekend.

Um, I wanna ask, you know, what is a thing you're still kinda thinking about after...

We're gonna look back at SC's 31-23 win over the Penn State Nittany Lions.

And Happy Valley, as he goes on the road and wins a road game in the Eastern Time Zone, in a whiteout against Penn State.

We're gonna talk about it, uh, with our friends from THT.

[upbeat music] I'm your host, Mike Castillo, joined along with my co-hosts from Travel H Thursdays.

Yeah.

Uh, Kenny, what time did you make it back from Pennsylvania?

Oh, I thought you were gonna say from Happy Valley, just to the, where we-

Oh, yes

You, you'll, you'll think this is an incredible college football experience.

Uh, it's very similar to Happy Valley, very similar to going to Penn State, um, as far as just the overall, like, it's just you gotta go.

Like, you gotta go check it out.

It's such a s- it's such an awesome place.

...

there in Happy, Happy Valley

... couple of teams in the SEC playing a game against each other that people might be interested in.

Get down in Tuscaloosa.

Pass me the ball

...

in Happy Valley

Pass me the ball.

Yeah, I would think it, it's fair to say there's a noticeable bounce i- in the steps of people over there right now.

Matt, I asked Tausch this on Monday, but can you take us to Happy Valley? Like-

[laughs]

...

It is beyond the end zone.

Incomplete, and the Badgers win it.

They come from 17 down in State College, and Happy Valley is just that for the Wisconsin Badgers tonight.

That was, uh, Badgers Radio Network.

I think James Franklin is a fine coach.

But you could kind of see the wheels fall off of that Penn State team after they lost that game to Oregon in Oregon or in Happy Valley.

Is the same thing going to happen at USC, or is USC going to use this as fuel to rally around and get the job done in Wisconsin, get the job done at Penn State? And then you set up games with Indiana on the road, and you set up a game with Ohio State at home.

You split those.

It was all fun and games headed into the Oregon game.

But now is when the pressure ramps up.

If you thought there was pressure on Lincoln Riley headed into this game, geez, imagine what it's going to be like walking out into Happy Valley.

You win those two games against Wisconsin at Camp Randall and against Penn State at Happy Valley, or Beaver Stadium rather.

Neither would Wisconsin.

And somehow the Badgers walked out of Happy Valley with a statement win.

Did this just change everything? It's a victory celebration today.

I'm your chief.

Heck yeah, man.

The above all point here is that we won on the road at Penn State, which is an extreme.

Listen, Ohio State has a problem winning in their Michigan camp when there's so many teams have gone into Happy Valley and not come away with a victory.

And it's really, really great to do that.
