Happy Mask Salesman

It had ensnared me, even from across the desk.

The happy mask salesman kept it close to his chest, and I knew he was studying me, taking in every bit of my reaction, but I couldn't stop staring.

Every dark thought, bad feeling, every memory that kept me awake at night was being pulled to the front of my mind by that mask, one by one by one.

"'Put it away, put it away,' my voice whispered.

I stopped myself.

Some questions were better left unanswered.

What more can you tell me? The morning's unexpected meeting with the Happy Mask Salesman repeated in my mind as I stepped up to the threshold at the Stockpot Inn.

Whether it was a genuine interest in the case, the excitement that came with the jingling of a wallet full of rupees, or worry about someone chasing a mask that could turn my brain to pumpkin soup that kept my feet at a speedy pace, I wasn't sure, but I knew it.

Yeah

... like, pranking the, the Happy Mask Salesman and stealing Majora's Mask was, was wrong.

I don't think anyone's gonna say otherwise, but it wasn't wrong in the way that, like...

He, he got so much more than was, like-

... that we've been seeing after this has been sort of an afterlife, some parallel d- world where the, you know, the spirits linger and all of that.

And there's, there's a lot of stuff that we have throughout this that sort of lead into that, um, especially when we talk about the Happy Mask Salesman.

So, uh, we're not-

S-

We kind of have to piece this stuff together.

But seems like this is where Skull Kid is from, and then he, after his friends left, went on his own little adventure, and then eventually, like...

But with this regret and his, this anger and, uh, abandonment that he had in his heart this whole time because eventually he does come across the, um, Happy Mask Salesman, which was...

Ryan, man, I do need to say one other thing, uh, that I gotta go back on.

We're about to find out.

So, deep within the woods, you find the happy mask salesman.

Yep.

It seems that this cheeky chap is based on the creator of Super Mario Bros. and The Legend of Zelda, Shigeru Miyamoto.
