So at Castle Mordo, Dr.

Strange begins communing with the Darkhold while Wong, Blade, Frank, Drake, and Hannibal King try to hold off Dracula.

Dracula tears through them and reaches Strange, who appears to be overwhelmed by the book's power.

But when Dracula grabs the Darkhold, he is pulled into the astral plane where Strange is fully in control and has the advantage.

As Strange battles Dracula astrally, his allies complete the Montessi formula, a spell designed to erase the curse of vampirism from the world.

The ritual succeeds, destroying Dracula and wiping out the vampires everywhere.

Hannibal King appears doomed as well, but because he spent years refusing to kill for blood, the spell affects him more slowly.

Strange quickly gives him a blood transfusion, saving his life and restoring his humanity.

Because now Marvel was what it was at that point, they're like, let's put in more characters in the Blade universe and let's do the Night Stalkers.

So we get the introductions of Hannibal King, who will be played by a pre-Deadpool Ryan Reynolds.

And then the other character actually was supposed to be a man originally in the comics.

They decided to make it Whistler's daughter, Abigail, here played by Southern Heaven's Jessica Biel.
