Um, Trafigura's Global Head of Shipping, Andrea Olivi, said the company wants to bring freight trading to public markets.

And then he, he came out with this insightful line perhaps, um, where he said, "We're married to value, and we will look for the next best relative value trade." So today VLCCs, tomorrow it could be Supramax or product tankers.

And I guess that got me thinking maybe there's even scope beyond that, and perhaps it's key they chose to call it Volare Shipping and not tankers.

So, uh, let's see where they take the company.

Um, and this week Tradewinds already reported another potential candidate for Volare, with Trafigura being linked to a VLCC resale.

That's a sister ship to a vessel it bought in May.

And then the company's sitting on at least two more VLCC new buildings in China for its own account, uh, with delivery dates in 2029, and it's also just bought a Supramax tanker from International Seaways.

But, you know, that's the, that's the nuts and bolts shipowning side.

But it's been an interesting exercise for us to delve into that market and test it out.

We've been really also interested in those arbitrage opportunities between Supramax and Panamax sizes as well, where the Supramaxes have actually gotten much, much stronger at some point in the year than the Panamaxes.

and and cargo interest moving um moving more towards that that size uh rather than ship on on smaller geared ships now of course the the constraints of are mainly port logistics um stopping that from happening necessarily than just the cargo size itself um but yeah it's it's um it's been an interesting and and tough Market to get into um but uh we've enjoyed it so far but um I think there's been some tough times in the Panamax market overall the last couple of years, but we're finally seeing that demand come through.
