They were ordinary shops and supermarkets, places where people came and went throughout the day.

In Cheshire, the offending took place in Macclesfield, Handforth, and Stanley Green.

Macclesfield is a busy market town, while further south, Handforth Dean is a large out-of-town retail area beside the A34.

Stanley Green, close to the junction of the A34 and A555, is another busy retail destination.

The offending also crossed the boundary into Greater Manchester with incidents in Denton and Stockport.

But how do you warn the public about an offender when you don't yet know the full extent of what he has been doing? By late summer, the authorities were beginning to see a pattern as reports of suspicious behavior became more frequent.

On Monday, August 4th, 2025, the police received reports of a man acting suspiciously at two retail stores in Macclesfield town center.

Four days later, there was growing concern when an individual matching the same description was reported acting suspiciously at two more stores, this time in the Handforth area.

We moved here about seven months ago.

So although the clinic is in theory seven months old, we kind of had a micro business in the village next door, which was basically a room on the top floor of a dental office.
