Hanalei Bay

We went to, uh, this lighthouse and wildlife refuge.

Um, we went to the Hanalei, uh, Bay, where they, they filmed the movie South Pacific and a bunch of other things, um, there and couple other spots on the North Shore beach and overlooks and waterfalls.

It was a really great tour.

Um, so I'd recommend that one.

So in January of 2015, my husband and I were vacationing in Kauai, staying at a rental in Princeville overlooking Hanalei Bay in the, um, Waimea Mountain Range.

One evening while sitting on the patio after sunset, I noticed a strange light suddenly appear in front of the mountain range.

It was an intensely bright white cube, large enough to illuminate the ridges behind it.

The buoyancy of the ocean takes pressure off your joints and your back in a way almost nothing else does.

Stick to the beaches with calm, protected water, Kaanapali, Wailea, Kailua on Oahu, Hanalei Bay on Kauai, the Ko Olina lagoons, things like that.

Big waves, big wave beaches are an obvious skip.

Luau's are about as easy as it gets when you're pregnant since someone else is cooking and someone else is performing when you just sit back and enjoy it.

Some, though, is donated to artists and to universities.

On Kauai, lifeguards shut down Hanalei Bay yesterday after an eight-foot shark was seen near the pavilion tower.

Warning signs are up.

Lifeguards will reassess this morning.
