So again, these two contrasting stories were laid out for the jury.

Okay, so we're at count six now, and this is the alleged anal rape of the woman who met Russell Brand after a gig at the Hammersmith Apollo.

You'll remember that they had some sexual encounter in this dressing room after the gig.

um then he was texting her invited her to his house in Hampstead and they had consensual sex but um the judge reminded the jury that she said she hadn't enjoyed that it was like he was just fucking a hole she said but she said at that point she didn't ask him to stop however Then she says he flipped her over, put his penis inside her and anally raped her with her face in the pillow.

I was to blame because I went there.

Yeah, and in terms of what the judge reminded the jury, the defense said that it was consensual.

She had indulged, they said, in this anal sex play when they were in his dressing room at the Hammersmith Apollo.

She had also told her boyfriend that she didn't want anal sex, but had come round to it.

I think it's different in, in music.

You know, when you see the Hammersmith Odeon endlessly rebranded or the marquee closing and stuff like that, that's sad because, you know, in the 100 Club and all of that stuff because I still feel genuine affection for the person and the times that I had when those places were operational.

I think we all do.

But with restaurants, it's different because it's usually the people who decide that we're not going to go to restaurants the Ivy anymore because Richard Kering owns it now and it's no longer fun.

That'd be fantastic.

Then I can take a picture with you in front of the Hammersmith Odeon.

Yeah.

Or as Chris Williamson put it when I went to see him at Hammersmith Apollo, which you will hear about next week, the pessimists get to be right, the optimists get to be rich.

Some buyers who are waiting for the budget will pick their search back up before Christmas and vendors who have had a long, frustrating time in the market will may find those buyers more willing to commit.

But mortgage approvals have been falling, which means fewer sales completing before the end of the year.
