This seems like one of those cutesy things that every two years there'd be a story about here.

So, Hall County, that's Grand Island.

I'm familiar with Hastings Roots myself.

So, you know, Hall County, that's not exactly the middle of nowhere by our Nebraska standards, the way it could be.

And yeah, someone could go in there and by law be able...

We're the only state that does this.

And so as I'm having a laugh about this and slapping my knee... and looking down at them over having to utilize this, the story notes that Hall County will become the third county in the state that actually does it with Douglas and Sarpy as the other two.

And we do it a lot.

Like, just meet right in the middle and just have a good time out there in, in Hall County.

But yeah, it's a, it's a, it's another big one, and this is the most prove it game for Ravenna this season.

Uh, o- of all places, Trump carried Nebraska in 2024 by 20 points.

I- in Hall County, Hall County, that's, that's where Grand Island is.

His margin was, like, 38 points.

And yet he was there.

What's more, there seem to be fewer and fewer candidates who are openly inviting Trump to be part of a Republican rally in their communities.

Let's talk first about the reaction to Trump's comments about Los Angeles and San Diego at that rally in Hall County Grand Island, Nebraska.

You'll recall these remarks.

I want to see a tremendous victory.

What did you make of that? To me, what stood out, to my wife, what stood out was the laughter and the cheers of the crowd.

We'll assume for a moment, let's assume the president was just riffing about danger of nuclear war.

The laughs of the crowd in Hall County, Nebraska, stuck to me.

It didn't make me feel good about where we are.

Y- uh, y- yes.

And the Nebraska trip was someplace called Grand Island, Nebraska, which is in Hall County, Nebraska, of which he got, I think, 69% of the vote.

Uh, yeah, I, I just got to keep asking the same question.

Is Trump trying to lose? Uh, I mean, there's nothing that he does that's consistent with trying to win.

Um, in Grand Island, Nebraska, which isn't even the swing part of Nebraska.

Nebraska actually has a battleground race in the Omaha area, but Grand Island is actually in Hall County, Nebraska, which Trump won by 30, 3-0 points in 2024.

So what's at play here? I mean, there is a statewide US Senate race to protect for Republicans.

They thought that seat was safe, but there's a challenger who's giving the incumbent a bit of a run for his money.

We're all over the country here.

Trump's scheduled to speak at about 6:00 PM Central Time.

Uh, and he's the first president to visit, uh, Grand Island since, uh, George Bush in 2026, W.
