To massively simplify this military theory, op tempo is the standard or goal that you would like your military to be able to achieve.

So, for example, if the Halifax Ferries were a military unit, the op

tempo would be four operations every 15 minutes.

Now, obviously, based on my personal history, the OPTEMPO I am most familiar with is the Canadian Submarine Service OPTEMPO, specifically the Upholder or Victoria class submarine.

But a Voigt-Schneider drive is very different.

It's like an egg beater stricking straight down out of the midriff of a boat.

And this is what allows Halifax ferries to move and spin like they do in the water.

But the Voigt-Schneider drives are more propulsion than the ferries probably need.
