You've got Sullivan, you've got Hal Hershfelt, at least for the immediate here, that, um, they've, they've got depth in the midfield, so I think that, especially from a defensive midfield perspective, that, you know, uh, Bernal obviously a quality player, but where does she fit into that given that depth?

Yeah, Abby Erduan was back here recently i- as well, and I'd even told Adrian Gonzalez, I was like, "Oh, yeah," before their game against Orlando, saying, "Yeah, Bernal is a regular starter." And he's like, "First of all, nobody's a regular starter."

Review: The Washington Spirit hosted Pride Night on Sunday at Audi Field for their game against Gotham FC.

The Spirit lost one-nil, but they definitely won for aura and vibes, particularly two Spirit players, Hal Hershfelt and Kaylie Collins, who got in full drag a few days before the game wearing Spirit baby tees that read "Love is loud." They did a photo shoot, and y'all, the pics are incredible.

In a post-game press conference, Hershfelt said it took two hours to do hair and makeup.

She comes in in the last minutes and they don't really use her in the role that we're used to seeing her for Washington Spirit, especially for those last minute heroics.

Well, I think that midfield is an issue right now because you see Lacey Santos out, you've seen them not only change formations, but they've tried things where we've even seen in recent matches where Hal Hershfelt's been more in a 10 role, which is really not her strength.
