i i when we did the sex lies and videotape uh screening i mentioned at the end that how hartley was getting out of the uh you know selling murder well he was basically getting like he'd gotten gone through all of his physical releases um that he had put together and curated himself and like and so like everything on his site was discounted but think but and i was very disappointed because i bought a henry fool trilogy and it was pal it was like a um So I had to use a region free player.

But the guy, like his like office guy, like emailed me and was like, Hey man, I'm really sorry, but we, we don't have these two things.

And I'm like, well, and then one of them was the Long Island trilogy.

You let me know.

But, uh, [laughs] but oh my God, and I think this is the one where I first discovered Hal Hartley too, but, uh, Trust.

Y- y- you love him and, and a lot of that is, like, he's got this kind of abusive father and, and so th- they're, they're both misfits, and they form this friendship that's never exactly a love story, but it's a, there's, there's, like, a, a common closeness that they rely on each other, and it's, it's very, um...

Hal Hartley has this very kind of sparse sort of, um...

Some people say cold, but I don't think so at all.
