How do you correct that moving forward?

When you think you're close, take another step, right? And we got to have all 11 players swarming to the ball because this guy is a loser if he breaks tackles.

I mean, I think he had 89 yards after contact last night, I believe.

I'm not sure.

But, man, we got to get all 11 guys to the ball, and it starts there.

And we got to win up front.

We can't be getting pushed back so much.

He was on every news channel this morning starting at 7 a.m. And Tucker Craft, I'm sure, will learn from this and realize, hey, the one thing you don't ever do is you don't ever, you don't ever point at the fans.

And credit to both teams to be able to try and play through that and get themselves to a spot where in the second half, it was almost as if nobody had remembered that happened.

And see, that's scary to think about, right? You said it earlier about Trace Matt being nervous going out to kick the extra point or the field goal.

I'm nervous every time I go into a game because you don't know if you're going to be able to walk off the field after the game.

So it's always scary and you just don't know.

And, you know, like John said, when you have a player that leaves on the card, man, it's scary because now you're questioning yourself.

What if it was me or if it happened to me? So, like I said, I see them tweet on X about he's feeling a lot better.

This is going to be a fight, and the team that fights the hardest the longest will win this football game.

Right? The Jets just won their first game, uh, down in Tennessee, so they're feeling really good about themselves.

We're coming off a loss against Minnesota, um, so we're gonna have a lot of, you know, anger in our mind as well to, to get that first victory.

So, um, I think it's gonna be a dog fight, right? And like you said, they're, they have a good defense as well.

What does the defense do at that point in time if he is on the backside? What do they do to try and take on these downhill offenses with a lead blocker, with the guards up front? How do they attack that once they put Coop on the backside?

What do you think has a fellow defensive guy? What does their defense need to do to slow down a guy like Kyler Murray who loves to move in the pocket so much?

Well, you just said it just then.

First off, keep him in the pocket, all right? Do not let him extend plays.

I think that is very important.

make them throw the ball and beat us.

The defense can disguise, make them uncomfortable on the back end, and just tackle them, man.

Make great open field tackles and get them on the ground and play their next down.

From what your experience was, what do you think he's going to be like?

When he does get out there, what can fans expect?

Uh, a lockdown corner, man.

A kid who can play the deep ball, right? A cornerback, you gotta be able to protect the deep, the deep ball, and I think that's one thing that he's really good at.

Uh, his ceiling is so high, right? He hasn't even reached his full potential yet.

And, um, you know, just dating back to when he came to Alabama, uh, as soon as he got here, Coach Saban retired.

Now, he had time to spend...

He, he got a chance to spend time with Coach Saban during our bowl prep when we were playing against, uh, Michigan, uh, in the Rose Bowl a few years ago.

With that being said, man, it's, it's a great way for ones to get work against ones without actually having to play a game

[sighs] That, that Keisean, um, I love him.

I think he's a, he, he has the potential to be a great player, uh, but I don't think he's using the, the, the correct choice of words.

Uh, being punished isn't an option.

Um, what you put on film is exactly who you are as an individual, and he has to go out there and fix that.

Um, he's done some great things for us in the past, but I think that's also the problem.

Uh, he's thinking about what he's done in the past, and that's, it's, it's a what have you done for me lately lead.

Ha Ha, I'm gonna ask you, how, how do players view preseason? Is it just we wanna get working and stay healthy? Do you care about results at all? What is your mindset when you played in the preseason?

[laughs]

... you know, he found me a position here, and I just never looked back.

But the one important thing that I always tell our players is life moves at the speed of relationships.

Uh, my third year in, my second year in NFL, um, our AD, who had just, uh, got the job here, actually came to Green Bay and wanted to see our facilities and, you know, kind of figure out how he could, you know, um, make Alabama what it is now, make it a better place, make the facility a, you know, more beautiful and just do a lot of changes.

So he came to Green Bay to kind of get a, the scope of things, and I didn't know who Gre- who Greg Burns was, but I got a call from Alabama saying like, "Hey, can you, you know, give Greg Burns a tour, show him some love, and, uh, you know, just let him see the, the, the, the town of Green Bay?" It was on my off day, uh, so my second year in the league, I kind of wanted to just sit at home and relax, but I got my ass up, and I still went to go spend that time with him.

And spending those two and a half hours with him, uh, led to a long lifetime relationship that, that I didn't even know would be this deep, you know? And that's the first thing he said to me was the time I spent with him in Green Bay is something that he was al- he would always remember.

He, he tells this, this story all the time when, um, I'm doing speaking engagements with him, is that I'm the first person he ever hired without doing an interview because of how I treated him and how I would, you know, show him love in Green Bay.

So can you give us just a little breakdown of the team, what your expectations are, and that safety group i- if you could?
