Hackles

... no one's-- the stuff that-

Hackle spinners, yeah

... you know, stuff that the people didn't really wanna tie commercial.

But we enjoyed doing that because-

Another great fly to use as a benchmark to experiment, for sure.

So using Bucktail with Hackle, using... like oh throw a zonker strip on the back of it instead of hackling you get a completely different action different profile whatever and use those sf fibers like now you've got a translucent fly that you can fish in that clear water for spookier fish so that's why i say if you're a guy who's not going to tie flies who just wants to go buy flies to catch fish on the lake lefties deceiver whatever general pattern nothing changed on it phenomenal fly um couple different colors i like having one you know i like a shark truce in white always good i like a gray and white it's a little more natural you know maybe those fish are a little more gravitated towards that at times.

That's a phenomenal fly.

If I'm looking for something with a little more bulk and a little more like water push and swim, that Jakeville walks is Romer.
