Gwanak District

Fans can expect even more details soon, as Yang plans to drop additional updates through a YG announcement video later this year.

Seoul's Gwanak District is gearing up for a major cultural celebration as the Gwanak Ganggamchan Festival marks its 10th anniversary from October 16th to 18th around Naksongdae Park.

This year's theme, Tomorrow Ganggamchan, Opening the Future, blends the legendary general's historical legacy with cutting-edge performance art, featuring a spectacular opening night show on October 17th that combines traditional Korean performance with aerial fireworks, countertenor Louis Choi, and violinist Kwon.

The festival isn't just about history, though, with a youth dream concert bringing together university hip-hop crews and the duo Dynamic Duo's Shinsabong Tiger, plus a creative exchange program linking young artists from Chungnam and Gwanak.

History buffs can catch popular storyteller Seol Min-seok hosting a talk show and quiz segment about the general, while tech lovers can hear Professor Joong Jae-seung discuss living alongside artificial intelligence.

Wrapping up the celebration on the final day, residents take center stage with a citizen singing competition hosted by announcer Jo Jung-hyun and featuring performances from honorary ambassador and singer Kim Da-hyun.
