Andy GoodeHOST

I think Guy Pepper fully deserves it on his performances, um, not only for England, but for Bath as well.
Andy GoodeHOST

But yeah, for me, I think it's just he's taken that step back a little bit from where it was previously, where he would be much higher on this list.

See, I actually think we talk about the Quinn's tax and on the polar opposite end of the spectrum, I think we need to consider a bit of a bath tax, right? Because if you look at the team that they had last season and the people who sort of featured throughout the season, obviously, you look at the back row, you've got Ted Hill, Sam Underhill, Myles Reid, Josh Bayless, Koetzer, Guy Pepper, Ewan Richards, Ethan Stadden, Arthur Green, Alfie Barbary.
WillHOST
21:58
there are a heap of such high quality players in there, right? Not to mention some of the younger players that are sort of coming through in and amongst that as well, who are getting game time.
WillHOST
22:09
And I think because Bath play such an all-court game, it kind of takes away from what Sam Underhill does fantastically, right? You put him in a team who is like, trying to think who would be perfect, like an Exeter, I think he would absolutely thrive in a Chiefs system because he just needs to get around the park and just level blokes.

Again, the younger guy, he's only 25 now, doesn't play like he's 25.
BenHOST

I think the physicality level what he's offered you've seen that for Australia and for Exeter it's just huge makes a big difference to that team I think he fits that Exeter mould really well what Baxter likes in a player he offers everything there dynamic around the pitch as well which is just huge for them and I think he's a big factor in why their sort of season did change around I know there was multiple players that did impact but he was a huge one and a huge part of why they bounced back last year and managed to make it to the Prem Final
JamesHOST
51:19
Yep I've got him higher so I'll talk about him later I've got Guy Pepper in it for.
JamesHOST

I think he, the way he's taken over from Underhill, he just gets around the park.

It's like saying someone from Portsmouth scores a try in... exeter and they're like oh yeah it's so fitting like what what are you talking about maybe that that might be a bad example but still yes i'm glad that we are on this podcast confronting north north of england racism head-on and saying that the sale's not even that north like it's north but it's not like the northest of north like no there's quite a lot of england north of sale
