Guy Lamb

The country already has one of the highest homicide rates in the world.

To learn more about the violence, I spoke with Guy Lamb.

He's a criminologist at Stellenbosch University in South Africa and joined me from Cape Town.

These shootings are taking place in different areas across South Africa.

So the recent violence was a particular group was targeted in a sort of a drinking establishment in a tavern.

And, you know, many members of that group seem to be targeted, but also others who are not associated with that group may have been targeted as well.

I'm speaking with Guy Lamb.

He's a criminologist at Stellenbosch University in South Africa.

We've invited Dr.

Guy Lamb, who chairs the Justice, Crime Prevention and Security Task Team at the National Planning Commission, to talk to us about what we have seen.

It's always a pleasure to chat to you and thank you for your time this morning.

Good morning, Mukani.
