And one, one of the other skills, and you've gotta be careful with this one, is, you know, there's, there's some sort of useful gimmicks.

Um, one of my favorite technical talks is, is by Guy Steele, uh, you know, one of the, um, sort of original programming language, uh, you know, people who, who were ear- early on in the development of programming languages.

And he did this fantastic talk called Evolving a Programming Language that had this gimmick where he started off using only single syllable words, and, uh, over the talk, he defines every multi-syllable word using single syllable words, and then starts using those, those new words as he- he's defined.

And so it's this sort of gimmick that brings you along in the talk, and it's so well done and, and so engaging, uh, that, you know, m- even for someone like me who's not a deep programming language person, um, I find that talk just incredibly enjoyable to watch.
