1:24
And Guy, just tell us a bit more about what's gonna be happening today.
1:28
Well, we're walking along a river, and it started a few days ago at the source of the River Medway, and ultimately will end as it, as it meets the North Sea.
1:39
But there are a lot of dimensions to this journey.
1:41
There's the inner journey of, of what people go through as they walk along a, a river for days and days, and how, how that changes them.
1:49
But then there's also this outer journey that they're trying to do, both walking on the path, but also trying to campaign for the health of this river.
1:57
Um, there are many different ways of campaigning, and they're going to be doing things like a conference with farmers and landowners, and councilors and politicians to try and gather support.
2:09
So there's that.
4:28
[laughs]
10:50
It's a big story.
10:53
It's a big story.
10:53
Maybe I'll try and give the most potted version I've ever given, or not.
10:59
So I started life in a family where...
11:07
Religion was a big part of it.
11:09
My parents are both what are called Christian scientists.
11:12
So it's quite a small sect of Christianity, which is characterized in the media as those that don't take medicine, which is true.

11 MINS LATER

22:01
And have you noticed a big increase in pilgrimage? It feels like there's been a huge increase in the interest in it.
13:41
W- Would you sing one for us?
13:43
I'd love to.
13:44
Now, this is also the sort of place, he's always on the path, and it's the sort of path, a river is a good path.
13:50
It's easy to follow.
13:51
So people would've walked along it in the past, and he will have come across other outlaws potentially, or other people doing the same as him, um, and would've had to come to, to terms with them somehow.
14:04
Usually, he had to work out were they friend or foe? Um, and sometimes they were kind of neither.
14:10
They, but they sort of still fought it out and, and then they might come some agreement.

33 MINS LATER

47:32
Do, do you feel calm and happy in a wood when you're sleeping there, or do you feel slightly on alert?
