Guru Madhavan

So what we call nepotism is really, let's say, inclusive fitness or kin selection undermining our institutions.

And what we call cronyism is when a manager gives a job to a friend or a friend of a friend, we might say, well, that's cronyism.

But it's also just direct reciprocity or maybe indirect reciprocity undermining our meritocracies.

So this opens up a new question.

And so, you know, when I wrote The Theory of Everyone, you know, if you're going to make the claim that you've got the periodic table, that science is there, you can sit there convincing everyone, or if you really got it, go do some chemistry.

And the reason I want to do this is that simulation is essential to a science.

You know, if you think, and to engineering, if you think of the Wright brothers, right? Like before they took the skies, they built the first, probably the first wind tunnel where they tested different wing designs, right? Again, our mutual friend, Guru Madhavan, right? He has this...

He has this wonderful book.
