Gunung Padang

Some recent science is beginning to show cavities in the Great Pyramid which were not expected before.

In Indonesia, in a place called Gunung Padang, what was formerly thought to be a natural hill with a megalithic site on top of it, has now been discovered to be a pyramid.

It's been subjected to a very close geological study by one of Indonesia's leading geologists.

They've surveyed the interior of the structure using ground penetrating radar and seismic tomography.

And, you know, Graham will be talking and delivering a lecture, a major lecture on the whole subject in November at our conference, Origins 2015.

And there are other, many other good speakers there as well, including via Skype, directly from Java, Danny Hillman, the geologist in Java who's redated the largest megalithic monument of Indonesia there, known as Gudung Padang, from about 600 BC back to pre-8000 BC.

So he will be talking and how he feels that this fits into the greater picture of what was going on at the end of the last Ice Age.

Obviously, Hugh and myself are there.

I assume that was in reference to when I said that we need to fund some of these digs.

in some cases yes in other cases i like for example um gunung padang is the one that graham hancock mentions first in the show there's some weirdness that we absolutely don't know anything about so it's one of two things either it's something we haven't discovered or it's just a natural formation but we're not going to know until somebody excavates it

Let me chime in on this, if I may.

So I think, because it's funny, so my daughter, I should comment, I have a daughter who ironically is interested in going into archaeology as an undergrad.

That's unfortunately the world of fantasy, not fact.

There are some incredible archaeological sites in Indonesia.

Why did he pick Gunung Padang? To me, that's very strange because there are ones from the 7th and 8th century that are the literal Solomon's Temple, that are the tantric version of Solomon's Temple.

And I wonder why he would pick That one, that's a bunch of bricks in the jungle.

I do want to also discuss and go back and discuss the bog form.

But here I believe that the beach rock has been used as a construction material.

His theory of Atlantis just continued to sprawl as he has supposedly found evidence of this advanced precursor culture all over the world at Göbekli Tepe in Turkey, Gunung Padang in Indonesia, Yonaguni Monument in Japan, Nan Madal in Micronesia, and Tiwanaku in Bolivia.

He has removed himself from the typical debate about Atlantis locations by asserting that, rather than one island, the precursor culture he has quote-unquote discovered was a

global empire.

Locals have known about it for centuries.

They call it Gunung Padang, the Mountain of Enlightenment.

But here's the question that's been tearing the archaeological world apart for over a decade.

What if it's not a hill at all? What if underneath all that dirt and vegetation, there's something built, something ancient, something that shouldn't exist according to everything we think we know about human history? Some researchers claim there's a massive structure buried inside this hill, layers of construction going back not thousands of years, but tens of thousands.

Because a story like Gunung Padang comes with two very different tracks running side by side, and if you mix them up, you end up either dismissing something genuinely interesting or believing something that isn't actually supported.

So we're going to separate three things very carefully.
