Guitar tech

We were in studio with our friend Mike recently.

We did a Zoom call with Fish's Guitar Tech.

Justin, him and John chopped it up just in last episode as well.

And when a Martin's going to take you four to eight hours or something like that, it was a pretty cool idea at the time.

But fast forward to the past few years, the SC-13 came out.

And for me, it was the first time as a guitar tech, I went, oh, this is... a really slick idea.

And it's so slick that now Taylor has come out with their version of having an adjustable neck on the fly.

He kind of what I already knew.

He goes, you know, the thing is, convention promoters don't know how to do rock concerts rock concert promoters don't know how to do conventions so he goes really the only way i said well how how could i was in megadeth times how could megadeth do one he goes well probably you know if we routed the tour and you sort of rubbed up next to that you know like on a friday night you could we would play the arena but it would be our tour stop it would really have nothing to do with the convention And, and I think he's right, you know, so, so, but you get guys like Evan from Mad Monster who are very well, same with Bill Philpott from Days of the Dead, you know, there's guys, he, he, it's funny, he was, when we did the Megadeth Motley Crue Anthrax tour, he was, I think it was Scott Ian's Guitar Tech.

Right.

So now he's a festival ton promoter.

design and then you put the instruments in and you doing guitar tech then you'd walk in right before soundcheck and you'd put pedals in put the guitars in so it has to be very quick

yeah you have to have it in such a way that you can be confident enough that when you go out you know a lot of days you won't have time to troubleshoot things and you'll have the band standing over you you know and that's not what you want

is that not terrifying right so do you know if you've got an artist and they're playing to 50,000 people right and they're a guitarist and then the guitars It

You know, I just say I work in the music industry.

I kind of leave it at that.
