Guilty Gear Strive is next.

That surprises me.

I guess France is not really into Guilty Gear Strive, but hey, you know what? Those that are really husky and heavy to play it, we'll go ahead and play it at a strong 249.

The next is coming in Avatar.

the fighting game.

I think the genre is almost...

in some ways coalescing and in some ways regressing because in terms of appeal and in terms of audience share right because i think street fighter 6 is the anomaly street fighter 6 is taking a lot of the existing fighting game um attention and that sphere of attentions it's collecting the majority of the audience then the other sub genres uh 3d fighters still have tech and tekken's kind of holding its numbers i think tekken's doing its thing it's found its lane still and it's maintained that But for everyone in between, like the anime fighters, unless you're in Guilty Gear Strive, but the tag fighters, if you're into tag games, it's been rough.

And I do feel like a lot of the other subgenres are either dwindling in market share or being absorbed by Street Fighter 6, where Street Fighter 6 is this anomaly.

But I don't feel like the genre as a whole has grown in a while.

A little, a little chaotic.

Um, no, we've mostly been playing guilty gear strive and, um, it's been sweet.

We, uh, I took a couple games off our friend Wade, who is much, much better at fighting games than we are.

Well, that means you're better at him.

I will say we played one of the new patrols, and it was a lot of fun.

But I'll refrain.

I'm going too much into it, because we'll go over that here in just a few Outside of that, yeah, as you kind of hit the nail on the head with the fighting game stuff, I've been playing mostly Guilty Gear Strive.

And I've been playing a lot of a character named Ina, which is like a witch with a guitar instead of a broom.

All right, that's cool." But then I also remember Guilty Gear.

I'm like, "Yo, but I wanna play Guilty Gear Strive." And, like, I remember vividly, like-

Well, not Strive at that time.

Gonna mess with that time

Yep

... tanked the hype for the game and tanked the audience for the game to the point where I think the other day people were pointing out that Guilty Gear Strive had more concurrent players, which is, for anyone who doesn't know, is a game made by the same development team that came out like five years ago.

Wow, Marathon's really up there.

90 hours of Marathon.

Yeah.

At least I know, like, Guilty Gear Strive was really big for a little bit.

Like, it jumped up, and then I heard that it fell off, and then I watched some reviews of it.

And I was like, "Oh, this looks amazing," and it's still cool and awesome.
