Chris RobinsonGUEST
42:58
Yeah, because like your token and stuff like that.
Chris RobinsonGUEST
43:01
Guilty Gear have juggling and shit? No, I don't think it did.
Chris RobinsonGUEST
43:05
Oh,
Darren WadeHOST
43:05
whatever.
ChristianHOST
31:49
They will get put back down to the ground.
ChristianHOST
31:50
Again, a few exceptions, like, like soul bad guy in Guilty Gear, he was just good forever.
ChristianHOST
31:55
There was, you know, or Happy Chaos even.
ChristianHOST
31:59
Happy Chaos was good for a very long time in the Guilty Gear scene.
ChristianHOST
32:02
But, In general, you know, and so you experiencing a nerf on a character that you were playing because it's good will end up sucking because then, like, you'll stop doing as good because the character won't have this thing and then it makes you mad because you're losing all these things.
ChristianHOST
32:18
So instead, what you should do is look at the entire roster...
ChristianHOST
36:58
There's tag fighters, 2D fighters, 3D fighters.
ChristianHOST
37:01
100%.
ChrisHOST
45:58
Oh, yeah, they're great.
ChrisHOST
45:59
You're going to get in a guilty gear, Nico.
NiccoHOST
46:03
As of right now, I need to simply learn how to play Dokkan because I need to learn how to play fight again.
NiccoHOST
46:08
Dude, like here's the thing, right? Like I, you know,
NiccoHOST
47:11
I think I'll have a better shot at winning a match here and there.
NiccoHOST
47:15
Um, you know,
SeanHOST
47:19
So I can't wait for you to play Guilty Gear and then end up liking Jack-O-Lantern or Jack-O-Valentine.
NiccoHOST
47:29
Yeah, I don't know who that is.
RyanHOST
27:27
And honestly, I don't think I really played anything this week.
RyanHOST
27:30
I think I played like a handful of matches of Guilty Gear like last Friday.
RyanHOST
27:36
But I think that's it, honestly.
RyanHOST
27:40
It's been kind of just a busy week doing other stuff.
Henry GilbertHOST
58:29
[laughs] I played a little bit of the new Marvel fighting game that's on PlayStation and PC, Marvel Tokon, which, uh, means fighting souls.
Henry GilbertHOST
58:38
It's from Arc Systems, the Guilty Gear people, and I mainly did it to play the single-player mode because it has a cool story in it.
Henry GilbertHOST
58:47
Now, playing it online against real people, I even got all right at playing Street Fighter online, but if you've ever played, like, Guilty Gear and other Arc System games, these are too goddamn fast.
Henry GilbertHOST
58:58
I cannot-- Even if in my 20s they were probably too fast for me, but now I cannot move fast enough to play this game.
Bob MackeyHOST
59:06
Yeah.
Zach Stapp-PearsonHOST
5:38
I genuinely like it.
Zach Stapp-PearsonHOST
5:40
And they took out, at least for the most part, how they normally do models where they baked in animations and movements of certain body parts, I think, like they used to do or still do in the Guilty Gear franchise.
Zach Stapp-PearsonHOST
5:53
And it's working.
Zach Stapp-PearsonHOST
5:55
Oh, my God, is it working? I guess the most technical or detailed would be essentially between Loki, Black Girl Magic herself, Danger Room, which they're just calling Danger.

CalebGUEST
20:49
Now, um, as soon as I actually know before I even bought the game, even playing the beta, I saw, I saw how well the graphics were.
CalebGUEST
20:59
And honestly, I, there was a, there was a lot about it that I was impressed by.
CalebGUEST
21:04
I was expecting just, you know, Guilty Gear again, that's kind of what I was thinking was gonna happen But no, it's actually it's actually a lot to it.
CalebGUEST
21:14
They take a lot of components from like, you know comic books they take lots of components from standard Arc System games and they also wanted to make it more unique to like us in like a cinematic way it gives off the vibe of both a movie a comic and a game all at the same time and in different areas and i think that blends well it one doesn't ever feel like it's overshadowing the other not to mention the with uh with the exception of a few um mistakes from here there like like some lighting issues the lighting for the most part is is very well done i could tell they put a lot of work in it and it turns out great you could see it in lots of different characters lots of different characters feel like feel like a breath of fresh air you play one then you go you play one character like you play spider-man and you see all of his all of his cinematics all of his animations the way his suit looks and then you go to someone else like like doom for example and it feels like something completely different Nothing ever feels like the same thing just rearranged.
Eric NelsonHOST
77:26
Um, but this series I hadn't played before at all.
Eric NelsonHOST
77:30
Um, it's called guilty gear.
Eric NelsonHOST
77:31
Have you guys heard of guilty gear?
Cody HoffmanHOST
77:33
Definitely heard of it.
Eric NelsonHOST
77:36
Yeah, so I just decided to go down this path to play some Guilty Gear.
Eric NelsonHOST
77:40
The first Guilty Gear came out on the PS1.
Eric NelsonHOST
77:43
And it is often, I mean, it's a good game, but it is often derided because of its AI.
Eric NelsonHOST
77:49
Like if you're playing a single player game, it's just kind of relentless and very difficult to get into.
Eric NelsonHOST
77:26

Woolie VersusHOST
18:15
No.
Eyepatch WolfHOST
18:15
I think the, the, I think the animation and art of Guilty Gear kinda stomps on all over this, but there's a lot of per- personal preference in there, right?
Woolie VersusHOST
18:23
Mm-hmm.
Woolie VersusHOST
18:23
Mm-hmm.

19 MINS LATER

Eyepatch WolfHOST
37:05
Yes.
Woolie VersusHOST
37:05
Okay.
Eyepatch WolfHOST
37:06
Um, it's just that, like, I think if you say ArcSys Guilty Gear Marvel fighting game, there's y- there's something, there's a gap between what this game is and what I kinda wished it was.
Eyepatch WolfHOST
37:22
But that said, look, uh, there's other things that are good about it as well.
Harrison HuntHOST
2:27
Anyway, Singo, he ran the Third Strike and Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo tournaments and obviously smashed it, right? It was the highlight of the entire weekend.
Harrison HuntHOST
2:37
We went for Guilty Gear.
Harrison HuntHOST
2:38
We stayed for the Street Fighter.
Sean HuntHOST
2:39
Yeah, it was very smoothly run.
Sean HuntHOST
5:34
No, you don't know, do you? No,
Harrison HuntHOST
5:36
you don't want to say his name? Huddersfield John? No, listen, I'm just saying, like, for example, not just normal people like that.
Harrison HuntHOST
5:46
No, but like when we were in the Guilty Gear room and that geezer head-butted his controller.
Harrison HuntHOST
5:51
Oh, that
