Guillemots

Not to sound too clickbaity, but a song that has a surprising link to one of the Metropolitan Police's darkest hours.

Isn't that nice? This is the Guillemots with Trains to Brazil.

Swan.

All swing drums, horn crescendos and vocal gallantry, said Pitchfork, when they named this one of the best songs of the 2000s, Trains to Brazil was the Guillemot's first single and the most stirring encapsulation of the unabashed romanticism of their Through the Cliffs EP and debut full-length Through the Windowpane.

Singer Fife Dangerfield turns his eye towards the seemingly intractable conflicts of society.

The title refers to John Charles de Menendez, who was killed after he was mistaken for a suicide bomber in the aftermath of the London train bombings.
