Guernica Editions

Welcome to another episode of The Artsy Raven, and today our special guest is Robin Blackburn McBride.

So Robin is the author of two novels, River of Dreams and The Shining Fragments, and a book of poetry, In Green, all published by Guernica Editions.

Her short stories and poems have appeared in a variety of North American literary magazines, and you can find Robin on her Substack at Awakening Wonder.

So welcome, Robin.

I find myself increasingly drawn back to theater, actually.

Okay.

Now, you've published, um, a lot of times with the same publisher, the Guernica Editions.

Yes.

I'm also part of a group launch at the Supermarket in Kensington Market.

That is Guernica's group launch, and that is taking place in the afternoon on November 1st.

It starts at 3:30 PM.

I will be one of the readers, uh, reading for a short while at that event.

Robin is a Canadian novelist, poet, teacher, and coach.

Her new novel, River of Dreams, will be released on October 1st, 2026 by Guernica Editions.

Robin's first full-length work of fiction, The Shining Fragments, and a volume of her poetry, In Green, were also published by Guernica.

Robin is the author of a self-help book, Bird Light: Freeing Your Authentic Creativity.

Well, you know, where can everyone get Village Dreams, uh, Jay Quint, uh, and find you on social media?

So, well, I don't like to have a big social footprint even though the publisher obviously wants me to, so I'm on Instagram, JayQuint_ I think.

Uh, the book everywhere, barnesandnoble.com.

Uh, in Canada, indigochapters.com.ca.

Uh, my publisher guernica.com. It's available pretty much everywhere.

I'm mo- better online than in, in, uh, physical, uh, bookstores probably, though.

Okay.
