Grow for Me

Uh, I love, I love so much about the, uh, about the songs.

Uh, the one that sticks in my head the most, and I find myself singing this a lot, is Grow For Me.

Mm.

That's a good one.

The best way to get that out of your head is to sing Skid Row, but then to get Skid Row-

[laughs]

... out of your head, you have to sing Da Doo, and then to get that out of your head, you have to sing Grow For Me.

Basically, you have to just go through, right through the soundtrack at that point, or it won't work.

We were talking about lyrics.

This isn't a rhyme, but it's a sort of a bit of wordplay that I really enjoyed in Grow For Me when Seymour sings, Oh God, How I Missed You.

Yeah, it's great.

But obviously he's referring to like misting the plant with water.

Not really.

No, that's true.

You know, at the end of Grow For Me, when Seymour goes upstairs and the plant grows a bit, they apparently...

It was sort of an optical illusion forced perspective thing where they just pushed the plant closer to the camera so it looked like it was getting bigger.

I'm down on my knees.

Oh, please grow for me.

I've given you plant food and water to sip.

I've given you potash.

Oh, God, how I missed you.

Oh, pot, how you tease.

Now please grow for me.

I've given you southern exposure to get you to thrive.
