Here's what's happening in Minnesota.

A group home in Brooklyn Center allegedly billed the state for numerous services its residents did not receive.

A state report published this month suggests Golden Touch Healthcare's staffing schedule made it mathematically impossible to provide all the services it billed to the state.

It also found the group home had, quote, inappropriately requested government payments for services its residents did not need.

We got out of the group home three months early, and that was from reading the rules, right, and following the rules.

An audit found gaps in group home report cards and Minnesota's licensing process.

That report from the state's Office of Legislative Auditor was published yesterday.

The report card program is designed to help the public compare group homes and other assisted living facilities.

Facilities receive ratings in a But audit project manager David Kirshner said they found that complaint investigations and maltreatment findings are not factored into a rating at all.

We found that some facilities that have been cited for fairly serious violations had average or even high ratings in those report card ratings.
