Griphook

The trio overhear a group of people that are on the run in the chapter The Goblin's Revenge.

And he is on the run, Ted is, with Dirk Cresswell, Dean Thomas and two goblins, Griphook and Gornuk.

And so like the trio over here.

And I think if I'm remembering correctly, Harry's like, oh, that's Ted.

Now that we know so much more about Gringotts later, I think some of that you could even tease out.

Like, we're gonna meet Griphook.

Yeah, I would be excited to see a lot of these things.

So let's talk about things that we would be excited to see, little details that were not portrayed.

And in the book, while on the run, the trio almost encounters Dean Thomas, Griphook, Ted Tonks, who doesn't exist, Dirk Cresswell, and Gornuk.

But in the movie, that does not happen.

And instead, the Snatchers smell Hermione's perfume.

[laughs]

Well, it's a good thing Griphook wasn't here to-

Yeah.

Like-

Well, yeah, it's interesting, 'cause we actually...

I kind of had forgotten that in the seventh book, her house is actually where the rest of the Weasley family ends up relocating to, and then Ollivander and Griphook go there.

Um-

It changes everything.

I mean, it's, it's, it's something that Griphook is gonna tell Harry later, uh, right? That, "You're a most unusual wizard." Um, and it's just like-

Mm-hmm

...

there's basically this wall-to-wall of, like... goblin faces and stuff.

And there's like a whole display which is basically just dedicated to Warwick Davis and all the characters that he played, like Professor Flitwick and Grip Hook and a few of the other kind of goblins and stuff.

And so you just see Warwick's face all over the place in Harry Potter.

Yeah.

Which is wild.

He played Flitwick and Griphook in the original films.

This is a totally unique piece of continuity.

Why bring back just one person from the original movies?
