Although I'm not a huge Dinobot fan now, I have to imagine that the appearance of three of the Dinobots, that's Sledge, Grimlock, and Slag, front and center on the cover, standing out against an almost entirely green mountain-faced background... that had to be one of the reasons why this is the issue that i first picked up it really catches the eye kids love dinosaurs and this promises dinosaurs in spades

That's just such a boss pose by Optimus Prime.

yeah yeah yeah right yeah exactly and that the comic storyline behind this was pretty fun i had one of the issues that introduces Nucleon when I was a kid and it involves Grimlock is trying to revive his his Dinobot allies who were all killed in previous issues and he goes to like the forbidden Nucleon well I can't remember if it's on Cybertron or on some other planet and he has to like defeat the guardians and there's like these weird decomposing robots guarding the

Well, it was part of the Marvel continuity, which was really its own storyline.

uh also worthy of note too is that this was the first time i mean not exactly the first time that they did this but it was the first major time in transformers history that hasbro returned to a lot of the classic characters and brought them back like in in the previous years of g1 we had seen a new optimus prime and new versions of Bumblebee, Starscream, Jazz, Grimlock.
