Griffiss Air Force Base

Um, Minot, North Dakota, and then we moved back.

We were in the Rome Air Force Base, and then, um, my dad was getting out of the Air Force, and he was an OBGYN and was setting up shop.

Yeah.

Um, my dad's originally from California.

The indoor location is intended to protect volunteers and residents from snow, ice, and dangerously cold temperatures.

People who normally walk to the distribution won't have to travel to Griffiss.

A volunteer team will remain at St. John the Baptist Church to serve walk-up participants, while drivers arriving at the church will be redirected to the airport location.

The exact Griffiss location, hours, and traffic instructions will be announced before the December distribution.

For community coming together, the message heading into winter is simple.

Food insecurity remains a local challenge, but neighbors, businesses, and volunteers can make a meaningful difference by working together.
