Greybeard

I've got about 50 pages left of this one.

But I'm reading Greybeard by Brian Aldiss.

a British writer, you might have heard of him.

Again, a giant of their science fiction, a giant of British science fiction, hugely influential.

There's an incident, there's an atomic incident in the atmosphere which renders humans sterile.

And that's about what happens afterwards.

It follows Greybeard, or Algae, Algenon as he's actually known.

So it's set principally 30 years or so after the incident.
