What exactly is Grenada? Grenada consists of the island of Grenada itself and two smaller islands, Carriacou and Petite Martinique.

and uh southeast of saint vincent um it's a tiny place it's 134 square miles as of the 2020s i think its population is estimated to be around 125 000 people um but what it does have is it has um proximity to um not just uh you know the americas continental land masses of the americas but it's also situated if you look at a map the america the us fleet the u.s atlantic fleet um to reach the open ocean um if uh if one could establish you know a um a naval presence um around grenada um basically the atlantic fleet would have had to fight its way out in the way that the Soviet Navy was burdened with the fact that they were boxed in by the Greenland-Iceland-UK gap.
