Joining us now is Eurasia Group senior analyst Gregory Brew, who says the pendulum has swung in Iran's favor.

And here's what I don't understand about that, Gregory, because on the one hand, you read that Iran controls the two most important waterways in the world now, effectively, the Strait of Hormuz and with Bab al-Mandeb kind of to the south.

That's the Red Sea, right? On the other hand, we're told that we are bleeding the country dry, that they are literally running out of money, that no oil imports are getting in.

At this moment, the Iranian allied Houthis of Yemen captured a Red Sea island on Friday, giving them a perch to disrupt shipping in another critical waterway for shipping oil out of the Middle East.

This is what Gregory Brew, a senior analyst at Eurasia Group, he said, quote, the Houthi success in Yemen has swung the pendulum back in Iran's favor.

And the reality of this conflict is that the United States is more powerful than Iran by literally every metric.

economically, militarily, you name it, we are better than Iran.

This unprecedented economic onslaught will defund a tyrannical regime and permanently block its path to a nuclear weapon.

And an anti-Trump view comes from financial analyst Gregory Brew.

This desperate move by the U.S. is designed to force Iran to capitulate.

But over what and on whose terms? Washington's objective remains unclear.
