Gregg Turkington

Gotcha.

It's about the progression and downward degradation of his character as he reviews movies and the relationships with Greg Turkington, his co-host.

Yeah, but it is 100% similar in terms of like these psychotic people who have this flimsy excuse for a show that they can't even really deliver on and their lives are just deranged.

Yeah.

But Salt Lake, that's pretty few and far between, at least for my taste.

So I noticed that Greg Turkington and Tim Heidecker are coming.

They're going on a short tour.

Salt Lake's the first tour.

What's

it on? It's an amazing, long-running web series by Tim Heidecker and Greg Turkington, which started out as a show where they...

well, they review two films a week and they give every single one five bags of popcorn.

But it's evolved into genuinely one of the most interesting meta-texts in existence.

It started off as a show where you were playing yourself, and you know nothing about movies.

You review them, and you have the great Greg Turkington on, who... knows a little bit more about movies but not good he loves movies for all the wrong reasons the wrong reasons like he's like cocoon 2 perfect movie

um

but you guys keep evolving it like you're like i find that in comedy a lot of times a lot of people do the same thing over and over and over again and you are someone who is constantly in everything you've done but especially in the on cinema universe you're constantly changing it and three years ago i watched the new season and i was like what the fuck is this i had no idea what it was because it was when you were basically doing a version of patrick bet david yes yeah yeah value attainment yeah yeah i had never heard of this fucking guy okay all right yeah and i so then i started watching clips of that show which is like i'm sorry i'm The worst.

Well, there's plenty of time to get out here, get to train.

You can catch me and Greg and the whole team on the On Cinema Tour coming to Salt Lake City and Denver and Kansas City, Oklahoma City, a bunch of places like that.

Texas, all through Texas.

The terrible Texas.

That's a whole thing.

That's a whole thing, but we can tease it now and say that it was a first in On Cinema history yesterday.

We had the first time that Greg Turkington, the man, my friend, and I, in real life, Went to see a movie together.

That

And then I went, "Boythrob." And she went, "Oh my God." And I was like, "Can I get a picture?" So that was it.

But we did see Greg Turkington recently, and I did f- get so excited to see him.

Greg Turkington, I immediately noticed as well.

Yeah.

What's a Greg Turkington, precious?

Tim Heidecker and him do On Cinema together.

On Cinema.
