Greg Williams

So there actually is teams that go all the way back to the seventies if we wanted to in a VFL, AFL sense.

And this is, this is the interesting thing about that is that if that, if those teams were, were counted, We would have guys like Greg Williams, Paul Roos and Simon Madden would be elevated to seven All-Australian teams.

Yep.

And Lee Matthews, 11.

Yeah.

So in the state of origin era, Francis Burke, Keith Gregg, Don Scott, Wayne Schimmelwusch, Lee Matthews, Kevin Bartlett, Peter Moore, Mike Fitzpatrick that we discussed before, Robert Flower, Gary Wilson, Michael Tuck, Terry Danaher, Russell Green, Roger Merritt, Dale Waitman, Greg Williams, Simon Madden, Paul Roos, Gary Lyon, Gary Ablett Sr., Steve Silvani, Gavin Brown, Nathan Burke, Gary Hockey.

What a

list.

Yes.

So the 40th anniversary this weekend, Greg Williams' first VFL game.

His first game for Geelong.

Gary Ablett, not his first VFL game.

The recruiting is ridiculous.

In the space of a couple of months, Gerard Healy, Greg Williams, Merv Nagel, Jim Edmund, David Bolton, Bernard Toohey.

He almost gets Simon Madden, Morris Rioli, and Gary Bacanaro.

So he gets six really good players.

And the only way it's going to survive is if we all become the private owners and try to run this at a break even kind of, um, way.

So they all put money in and with a five year commitment.

Now over the next five years, the Swans, uh, they're decimated with players with, you know, Greg Williams heads back to, heads back to, um, in place for Carlton.

Jared Healy retires cause he's injured.

Yeah.

Greg Williams and Jason Akermanis.

That's a good line.

The half-forward line, Dermott Brereton, Wayne Carey, Patrick Dangerfield.

Shaun Burgoyne, Ian Stewart, Gary Ablett Jr.

Unreal.

Gary Dempsey in the ruck with Chris Judd and Greg Williams.

Hard to argue.
