Greg Shahade

Yeah.

I'm good friends with, uh, IM Greg Shahade, who runs the US Chess School here, where he works with all of the top young players in the US, and that was a point that he highlighted, that just the being obsessed with chess is like a marker of future success, and it's kind of a talent in its own right, because if you have that insatiable appetite, that's gonna lead you to put more time in.

So whatever ability you have to absorb the lessons that you learn, just that love in itself is kind of a marker of talent.

And I'm curious-

It was very formative, the one camp I, camp I got to go to, yeah.

Well, so it's fun, right? Yeah, I remember, like, I went to a couple camps, um, couple sessions of, like, the, the US Chess School by Greg Shahade and, um-

Right

... yeah, I remember every time after that camp was over, I mean, it would be five days of hardcore training, and you're working with all these, like, top juniors and, um, and, like, strong coaches.
