Kevin Durant just comes over and, you know, actually Greg Sankey comes over and interrupts us, uh, for a second to say hi to Mack.

I introduce myself to Greg, then Kevin Durant jumps in and interrupts them to dap up Mack Brown and introduce himself to Greg Sankey.

In the meanwhile, everyone's ignoring me, Buck, the star of the show.

The takeaway for me isn't who those are.

It's if that happens, Sankey and the league are never budging to 24.

You double the number of fingers in the financial pie.

Is the SEC going to double its number of teams in that bracket too? Because under this scenario with Heather Denich and ESPN, which means it's credible, realistic, mainstream, whatever, under a scenario where the SEC gets six of the 12 teams to make that math work, you'd have to get 12 of the 24.

So that's been obvious now, but you're still making money.

And if everybody's getting broke, everybody in the conference getting broke off for, I don't know, four and a half million, five million, you've got to replace that cash.

And that's what Sankey is saying.

Greg Sankey was totally satisfied with letting Peter Burns die.

He just froze in fear.

It was a fight or flight moment for Greg Sankey, and Sankey froze in that moment.

In Birmingham or around Birmingham, they have paid to have billboards put up that say, "Fire Sankey." And I got, look, I got to give them credit for it.

No, do I believe that you should fire Greg Sankey? You know what? I'm starting to come around to that.

Not because I agree with LSU fans over this whole Lane Kiffin mess, but I am very much opposed to the Protect College Sports Act.

Very much opposed to it.

But if I'm proven wrong, hey, I stand corrected.

It happens.

So I might agree with them on fire Sankey because he's lent so much support to this act.

Don't let me forget to talk about something interesting.

I got to hear Greg Sankey yesterday, and I'm not going to divulge too much.

I wanted to bring up something I heard Greg Sankey say yesterday.

I got to hear him speak at the Harvard Center, and really quickly, because some folks were talking about instant replay.

But if tomorrow the playoff announced, it was expanding to 24 teams.

And on Monday, Tony Petitti and Greg Sankey got up at a podium together and said, starting next year, all of our teams are going to play each other.

And the two big 10 teams that don't get an SEC are, uh, non-conference opponent are going to have, are going to be required to go seek out a power for opponent or something commensurate, like a Notre Dame, maybe a Boise state here or there.

Um, you know, beginning in the 2027 season, uh, Indiana would have no trouble walking away from those games.

The College Football Playoffs decision to open a 30-day negotiating window with ESPN last week may signal a growing interest in a 24-team field.

But SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey doesn't believe that expansion is a foregone conclusion.

Sankey said, quote, "We participated in that conversation.

That doesn't mean expansion will happen.
