Matt SmithGUEST
21:24
Uh, we had Senator Greg Rothman, who chaired the Game and Fish Committee, a Republican, who worked hand-in-hand with Mandy Steele and, um, Senator Malone from Lancaster to get it done.
Matt SmithGUEST
21:35
It is truly...
Matt SmithGUEST
21:36
This was a bipartisan, um, bill, a bipartisan topic that just took the right confluence of events and the right partners getting involved.
Kaleigh LeagerGUEST
4:46
I appreciate you having me on tonight.
Kaleigh LeagerGUEST
4:48
Uh, we're talking about the legislation that was introduced by Pennsylvania Legislative Sportsmen's Caucus, uh, co-chair, Senator Greg Rothman.
Kaleigh LeagerGUEST
4:57
Uh, Senator Rothman is the sponsor there in the Senate and the co-chair there in the Senate.
Kaleigh LeagerGUEST
5:03
And what his legislation is doing is something very similar to what the Motor Voter Act, um, created there.
Dom GiordanoHOST

[laughs]
Mina QuarlesGUEST

In fact, it was so funny that, uh, one of the gentlemen there said, "I'm a nice guy.
Mina QuarlesGUEST
1:19
Don't throw anything at me." I was like, "Eh, I'm not here to throw anything."
Dom GiordanoHOST

But you are presenting exactly the reason the Republican Party should exist.
Mina QuarlesGUEST
7:20
Yeah.
Dom GiordanoHOST
7:21
Uh, I, yeah, well I'm pretty friendly with the guy at the state level, Greg Rothman, and yet we don't get any response.
Dom GiordanoHOST
7:27
Somebody's going to have to do something here in Philadelphia-
Dom GiordanoHOST
43:48
All right, Delonte's next with his colleague who is one of the leaders of Flip Philly Red.
Dom GiordanoHOST
43:54
And you mean to say, Vince Fenerty, Republican Party, come on, Greg Rothman, you're a good guy.
Dom GiordanoHOST
44:01
You can't find a space to use this energy, this ball of fire, this talent to weave things together.
Dom GiordanoHOST
44:10
There's not a place for Allante McCauley.

Yeah.

And yet we don't get any response.
Emily BreyCORRESPONDENT
25:47
That's where an ongoing debate in Harrisburg becomes especially relevant.
Emily BreyCORRESPONDENT
25:51
Senate Bill 1346, sponsored by Senator Greg Rothman, would amend Pennsylvania's municipality's planning code as it relates to accessory dwelling units, or ADUs.
Emily BreyCORRESPONDENT
26:01
The legislation was reported from the Senate Urban Affairs and Housing Committee by a 10 to 1 vote in July.
Emily BreyCORRESPONDENT
26:08
An ADU could be an apartment over a garage, a converted portion of a home, or a small cottage on an existing residential property.
Dom GiordanoHOST
44:33
All right, Delonte's next with his colleague who is one of the leaders of Flip Philly Red.
Dom GiordanoHOST

There's not a place for Elante McCauley.
James SeleskyHOST
22:22
sense.
James SeleskyHOST
22:23
We're going to get to that here in just a second, and I have some clips of Greg Rothman and some other senators in my last episode with Philip Light on the WMI that shed some light on those motives because that's what keeps me up at night and has, and I'm going to get to that.
Mike EvankoGUEST
22:39
Well, and let me make one more comment there.
Mike EvankoGUEST
22:42
Another thing I found in the past year when I was researching this, Jim, was when the state of PA has secured linear feet of access on a stream, the ones that come to mind are there's a Black Lit Creek or a North Black Lit Creek and then Pine Creek up in Potter County.
James SeleskyHOST
27:05
It's public lands, God damn it.
James SeleskyHOST
27:06
Like people want, people love this shit.
James SeleskyHOST
27:08
like um so you know it gets back to this motive that you're talking about like why the hell do i have a clip of greg rothman in my last podcast saying it's a bad thing that has a half a billion dollars in reserves and and the other uh senator's name escapes you saying we need to tax you more on public land and public land should be taxed more and you shouldn't be buying your there's a loophole and you know you're you're like why Why do they not like, why do their statements lead all of us to believe when we see them that they don't like when public agencies that are programs that are insanely popular, like SGLs, why do they not like when they acquire land? Well, that's where the objective statements that they are on video, you know, what would you say subjectively interpreted, but the statements that are on video of them saying We can say with a high degree of certainty voicing that they don't think that the funds that buy these public lands or the purchase of them are a quote unquote good thing.
James SeleskyHOST
28:09
Why is that the case? This is where we have to jump from the record to now we're left to our speculation.
John Allante McAuleyGUEST
12:07
You guys are in the shadows.
Dom GiordanoHOST
12:09
Well, Alante, I started to do this, but I promise you, given your energy, devotion, and just your talent, that I have to ask every one of the Trump people and Greg Rothman when he's on, what are you guys going to do about what goes on here in Philadelphia? In other words, the National Party could decertify them.
Dom GiordanoHOST
12:27
He knows who I am.
Dom GiordanoHOST
12:29
I've been
John Allante McAuleyGUEST
12:29
told by people close to him and he hasn't.
John Allante McAuleyGUEST
12:32
And so Senator Greg Rothman, State Senator Greg, if you hear this, reach out to Flip Philly Red.
John Allante McAuleyGUEST
12:36
It's not like we're opposed to working with the party.
John Allante McAuleyGUEST
12:39
We want to make...
