... like Team USA, [chuckles] right? I mean, I think, I think Greg Meehan and Yuri and Kim are gonna do, uh, uh, what's best for the national team.

I think, um, his other staff is going to help him take care of, like, the financial piece and the business side of things-

Okay, so we, we, since we're off the reservations, we'll, so I, I asked, uh, Gretchen, I said, "Hey, if, if Greg Meehan shakes up the jar and walks over and the, and holds out the events for the medley relay at the Olympics and you guys randomly pick, are you still gonna win?" And she said, "No, because if I swim breaststroke, I'm, it's gonna be a 1:17 split," and that would probably screw up the math.

Yeah, the breaststroke I feel like is the one event where it could get dicey there.

It could very dicey.

So we're on the tail end of that trip and just gearing up for Nationals and then Pan Pacs.

And I know from having seen you in Indy, and when I was there, listeners know that I spent some time with Greg, our national team director, Greg Meehan, and I...

He was talking about how he's really been emphasizing people taking these longer training camps out of Colorado Springs.

Is this the first time you've been out there with athletes for, or you've had athletes out there for three weeks?

I'm not too worried about how it goes."

If I'm sitting inside the C-suite of United States Swimming, or my name is Greg Meehan, I'm an international team director, the type of athlete I'm looking for is someone who can go and have a haul of five medals.

Domestically, pressure on, but also an athlete who can break an American record on another continent.

Um, you're checking those boxes.

Um, but other than that, I mean, it was awesome.

Like being on a relay with those, you know, Gretchen and Kate and, and Will, like that was, I mean, crazy, crazy honor for me, honestly.

Again, pulling back in Greg Meehan, you know, National Team Director.

If I want somebody in that breaststroke bucket, I want some guy who's gonna, who's gonna consistently pop off 57s.

And it didn't matter, because the stars of Team USA won anyway.

Is, is that a situation, do you think that if we rolled up and Greg Meehan went, "Pick your, pick your event," would you guys win in Los Angeles?

Personally, if I was on breaststroke, we wouldn't win.

Um, he's leaving Indiana [clears throat] after five years in, in Bloomington.

Spent his lead up to Pan Pacs, the six weeks before Pan Pacs, he was at the OTC training with Greg Meehan and Kim Williams.

Uh, now he is looking for new homes, uh, throughout the country, but to, to be a pro in these couple years leading up, I guess this isn't as your swim, but where, where do you think his best landing spot would be?

I wonder if we have the same one.

I've filmed Tracy's workouts.

I think she was an awesome coach.

I think what she helped Greg Meehan do at Stanford was dynastic.

Um, can you tell me about that meet [clears throat] and kind of what, [laughs] what the breaking point was, and then ultimately, um, you know, you, you end up, uh, going to, to Greg Meehan a- and Kim Williams and, and training with them at the OTC in the lead up to Pan Pacs.

Can you tell me about that?

Yeah.

As we, as we were talking about, as we were talking about the World Cup, I was like, "You know what? This is, this is my chance to get this out there."

Anyway, I, I'm all for it.
