And these local f- film festivals, like the Valkyrie Film Festival for women, that's huge.

I g- I know Greg Lamberson was talking about how there's been so many female directors and filmmakers that are sending in their work now, and that started happening maybe just a year and a half ago, I think.

And I think it's awesome that, uh, a lot of women wanna s- like, share their stories and share their voices.

I think that's really important, so.

That was my first audition.

It was with Debbie Rochon and Greg Lamberson-

Yeah.

I was on his podcast for, uh, my debut feature, which was a freelance because of, uh, Greg Lamberson got me and Simon Phillips connected with the creator of The Mousetrap, the public domain film.

We were, we won in our respective categories when I won filmmaker of the year at, uh, what was Buffalo Dreams.

And I, I linked up with Simon and he said, "Would you ever wanna do a, do a vampire holiday horror as a feature?" And, like, you know, somebody's approaching you with a feature you don't, you say yes no matter what.
