um but i think yeah at least that's how i interpret it so i'm glad to see that claudia gray is picking up some of those through lines as well but really amidst the turmoil of this scandal there's also a very important subplot which is hinting at the rise of and strength of the first order at the same time so do you think that the new republic's ambivalence portrayed in this book lines up with what we come to know of them during the events of the force awakens Maybe what? It's like seven years later? Is that correct in that guesstimation

And so the deal away has been largely a failed threat from [chuckles] like probably 99 out of 100 deals because it, it's almost always cheaper and more effective to deal with the incumbent lender group.

And so that it's been a colossal time suck and waste for those smart alternatives managers that say, "Okay, I'm gonna bid in the deal away," and they, they just get used as a shill in those res- in those situations.

But we're, like, getting through a period that had historically, like the last five years, quite a few deal away situations where some creditors were winners, some were losers, and that's not really on account of being just necessarily the, a large lender.

You had to have a bit of a willingness to work against the creditor group, and a bit of a deal with the devil sort of thing, a- and not to call sponsors bad names.
