S

Uh, began his career in current affairs television, as you know, with World in Action.
S
40:09Simon MayoHOST
Uh, then became one of Hollywood's leading directors, so, um, if you just zoom through, Murder of Stephen Lawrence on ITV, then Bloody Sunday, then Omar, then The Bourne Supremacy, then United 93, Bourne Ultimatum, Green Zone, Captain Phillips, Jason Bourne, 22 July, News of the World, The Last Bus.

M*A*S*H - with Joe Twyman
J
13:53Joe TwymanGUEST
It is the most emotionally truthful reflection of my time in a war zone.
J
14:01Joe TwymanGUEST
You can look at something like Green Zone.
J
14:03Joe TwymanGUEST
Green Zone is, as far as I'm concerned, the most technically accurate war depiction of the war in Iraq everything looks absolutely astonishingly accurate some of the people have too much facial hair but apart from that it all looks exactly how I remember it and when you talk to when you talk to people who've been in the army what I found quite often was the film that they came up with in terms of technical accuracy was A Walk in the Sun which I don't think anyone in the UK seems to have seen but that is often brought up I imagine Warfare would be now these are both technically accurate But when you look at the emotional accuracy of war films, Jojo Rabbit, the ending of Jojo Rabbit is one that's mentioned a lot.
J
14:51Joe TwymanGUEST
Obviously, it didn't happen like that.
J
14:53Joe TwymanGUEST
But again, that emotion, that feeling of utter chaos and just things being completely all over the place, that is emotionally truthful.
J
15:30Joe TwymanGUEST
They never go onto the front line.
J
15:33Joe TwymanGUEST
And what's often missed is the fact that 80% of the US military who were deployed in Iraq were Fobbits.
J
15:42Joe TwymanGUEST
So for every person who's going on the front line, for every person who's in Green Zone, for every person who's in Hurt Locker, for every person who's in American Sniper or Jarhead or any of these films, there are four people supporting them back on base.

And then he's also made, um, some Jason Bourne and Green Zone as well, and you'll probably name another, a bunch of films, Tim, that he's, he's made.
