Green urbanism

He coined the term green urbanism and founded the Biophilic Cities Project, promoting the integration of nature into urban environments to foster human wellbeing and environmental sustainability.

Jim holds a PhD in city and regional planning from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

And he has authored or co-authored more than 15 books, including Biophilic Cities, Integrating Nature into Urban Design and Planning, 2011, resilient cities integrating, responding to peak oil and climate change in 2011.

So those are the kinds of things we want to help with, but I absolutely recognize that there are perceived risks and and perceived and actual costs that attend or that apply to you know preserving and maintaining those trees um so yeah um there's a lot of good lessons and good practice that the best uh tree tree cities are are able to show us

yeah i guess people that are tackling some of these issues would be well advised to check out your uh your website and some of the videos that you've been referring to and learn more about, you know, how to tackle some of the negatives that come with urban forestry.
