Green party

I don't think there's any doubt that there's a lot of motivated reasoning that's going on about this.

One of the things that people have become very disturbed by, who are opposed to climate alarmism, is they feel as if it's a bit of a Trojan horse for achieving statist ends, right? The original Green Parties of Europe, the German Green Party in particular, was famously called in the 1970s the Watermelon Party.

The reason it was called that was it was a bunch of former lefties, in other words, red on the inside, who now were rebranding themselves as green, that's the watermelon metaphor, but basically promoting the same policies.

They wanted state control of industry and so on and so forth.

And I mean, I can go on and talk about these different movements.

What is very interesting for these Green Parties, these Green Parties, I believe they are more similar to the Green Party in Germany than they actually to the dissidents in Eastern Europe.

Because they had this one issue, because of Yugoslavia's specific multi-ethnic composition, a lot of dissidents in Yugoslavian context were nationalists.

I mean, they were also in Central Europe as such, but their nationalism, if we can frame it that way, was directed towards the Moscow and the Soviet suppression.

In Yugoslavia, it was directed against each other.

And in that situation, the Green Parties were one of the alternatives to the nationalism.

And when we look at all these different Green Parties across Yugoslavia, they were always running on a very strong anti-nationalist agenda as such.

And when the Nationalists won, one of the things they did is to marginalize the green movement.

that's what's happened.

Does this infect green parties around the world or just this one here?

Well, the Green Party in the UK is pretty deranged.

I believe the Green Party here is quite deranged as well.
