then we got Wonder Woman year one compact edition which is the Greg Rucker story of course which hey anyone want to feel old that was in the first year of Rebirth which was 10 years ago now remember that remember when we were reviewing that at the start of the show how time flies So that's cool.

Then we've got Green Lantern Rebirth, compact edition.

Right, as you expect.

I guess the overall impression I got there, I mentioned that halfway through, I'd be like, hey, a lot of these runs have been going for a while, and they're all kind of letting them have runs, and even Batgirl's up to 20-something issues by January, and that's kind of nice, because that's exactly the sort of book that I worry will be cancelled after 12 issues.

Well, because after the New 52 to Rebirth, they were always just canceling and replacing and now they're just letting stuff breathe right so it almost i feel like it leaves the industry in a better place when you let stuff breathe like this

So, Ethan Van Sheer, American Comic, best of his pivotal work on DC's Green Lantern franchise, particularly alongside Jeff Johns.

He co-created and illustrated the 2004-2005 miniseries Green Lantern Rebirth, which brought back Hal Jordan.

Oh, so the guy who was responsible for bringing back Hal Jordan is pissed at how Jordan's how how lanterns went.

I thought more of you people read the goddamn Geoff Johns run because the very first thing he did when, when Green Lantern: Rebirth came around was take the concepts of Green Lanterns being fearless and flush it down the goddamn toilet.

Because, like, the whole, the whole idea of s- someone being fearless is so ridiculous because it's a natural thing that everyone experiences.

Your fear is a part of you.

They forged Sinestro's yellow ring.

Sinestro eventually goes back there at the end of Green Lantern Rebirth, and he forges his ring and forges the Sinestro core.

Who don't run on willpower, they run on fear.

As far as the yellow and the lantern goes, that's actually a callback to Green Lantern Rebirth, where Geoff Johns changed the lore of the Green Lanterns and basically said that there was a yellow impurity, a.k.a. Parallax, which was in all of the lanterns because the Guardians banished Parallax into the central power battery on Oa, which, you know, is what fuels all the damn lanterns.

So that's why for the longest, Green Lanterns couldn't work on anything yellow based, and that's why Sinestro had a yellow ring.

So I don't know if they're going to do that per se, like if it's not going to be working on yellow or if it's just going to just be there just for significant reasons of just, you know, elevating the notion that you have the ability to overcome great fear, which is something that the ring says to anybody that selects it says so and so and so you have the ability to overcome great fear welcome to the green lantern core and don't even give you an option of are you afraid motherfucker yes or no no it just takes you unless you like force the ring off so yeah there's that also um we just left sinestro on that planet so now i think he's just gonna forge the ring and a battery for himself if there is a season two i honestly hope there is a season two because i want everyone who was hating on this show to not watch it it's like samir was hate watching this show for eight weeks why if you don't like the show stop watching it like somebody even on twitter oh this was so and so it's like why are you watching it why do you even care he's like oh i didn't but yet you got a screenshot of carrie before she shot hal in the head as your avatar make it make sense people um overall i'm going to give lanterns a 9 out of 10 like i said my main issue was episode 7 the jordan boys legacy where um they kind of rewrote how family like of all being bipolar so yeah that was my only nitpick with the season overall so yeah guys uh we've come to the end of the road for now um that was another episode of the angry blurred podcast be sure to rate review subscribe tell a friend to tell a friend um and i will see y'all maybe i'll see y'all eventually i don't know yet peace out

OK, so after Rebirth, after Green Lantern Rebirth by Jeff Johns and Ethan VanSkyver, I'm sorry, we have to talk about Ethan VanSkyver.

He was a very important part of the creation of these books.

I know he is Mr. Comics Gate and kind of sucks butts, but he is an important part of the making of these stories.

I think this is all off the dome.

I have not looked up anything.

I think it's about, I think Green Lantern Rebirth was 2008, and then that immediately rolled into a Green Lantern series.

uh in issue 25 fun fact the issue before i started collecting that green lantern run so i have 26 on but i don't have 25 issue 25 introduces all of the other color spectrums but before i get to that we have to talk about sinestro and his yellow ring
