Green Island

China's coast guard said a ship formation was conducting routine law enforcement patrols in waters east of Taiwan, prompting Taiwan's coast guard administration to dispatch a patrol vessel to monitor the ships and to condemn the move as fake enforcement and real harassment, a form of cognitive warfare.

Two Chinese vessels were tracked about ninety-seven nautical miles northeast of Green Island and one hundred and forty-six nautical miles east of Lanyu on the afternoon of September twenty-ninth.

Separately, the coast guard administration said Chinese coast guard ships crossed Jinmen's restricted waters forty-six times last year and thirty-five times so far this year, a pattern it called routine harassment that Beijing was masking with mid-autumn festival propaganda broadcasts urging reunification.

Now the weather.
