Green Dragon Tavern

An early piece of American history is coming to southern Utah.

Liberty Village in Hurricane is opening a replica of Boston's Green Dragon Tavern.

The Massachusetts Green Dragon was a gathering place in the years leading up to the American Revolution, serving people like Paul Revere and Samuel Adams.

Hurricane's Green Dragon is part of the second phase of Liberty Village, which is a nonprofit historical education project that will host 22 replica buildings.

These are essential gathering points that were crucial to the foundation of the United States of America.

I had the opportunity a couple years ago while attending a Cleveland Browns game to go up to Foxborough and then into Boston, and I went to the Green Dragon Tavern.

That's where they plotted the Boston Tea Party and more for the American Revolution.

This is where we are gathering Monday through Friday, TNAM Daily Show, here on the New American Media.
